We first came across this The Carnival Restaurant Weltevreden while looking for a place to host my daughters first birthday party. The kids carnival had just opened a few months before her party and from the pictures and reviews I saw on Social Media, I had to check it out. We went to have a look and immediately booked the venue for her party.
The carnival is situated on the beautiful grounds of Weltevreden Estate in the Stellenbosch
area, and upon arrival we were greeted by a number of beautiful peacocks that roam the
estate. So before we even made our way to the restaurant we strolled through the gardens admiring the beautiful surroundings.
When we walked into the kids carnival area we could see tons of activities for the kids and that there’s something for kids of all ages.
For my daughter, Alyssa’s party, we hosted children from baby to teen and each and everyone of them were entertained on the day. The playground area itself is huge – with 2 trampolines, 2 huge jungle gyms and sandpit area for the little kids.
The play area has child minders who gladly watches the kids while the adults eat their meals, which is a real help.
I love that there is a shaded cover over the play area which provides some relief from the harsh Summer sun. Temperatures soar in this area during the Summer Months, so the shaded area is an absolute pleasure.
The restaurant has it’s own pizza oven and build-a pizza area where kids can make up their
own pizza. This made for
a really fun activity at the party. Kids feel really chuffed with
themselves, having made their own meal!
The adult food menu is limited and besides pizza, has just a few other items from the
Weltevreden restaurant, but the venue is perfect for a relaxing day out with the kids and
the perfect spot to celebrate a little one’s birthday.
There are kiddies toilets and a baby changing area just outside the restaurant.
Credit cards are accepted.
